PrimeIT’s Organisational Culture: the formula for success
PrimeIT’s Organisational Culture: the formula for success
November 5, 2020
PrimeIT is recognized in the technological market for having an organisational culture marked by good mood. The investment the consultant makes in welcoming new employees, in events, small daily actions and in benefits for its employees, has borne fruit in its 13 years of existence.
The first step in this successful formula begins right away with the integration of the new Primers. Luís, from the Human Resources department, when asked about his entry into the company says: “I felt as if I had been part of the team for a long time. All the colleagues were concerned with making the best integration, not only making themselves known but also making themselves available to accompany them and have, besides the theoretical training, the visibility of the processes in the practical perspective, which helped me a lot to achieve a great autonomy right from the beginning”. Cláudia, Business Manager of the Porto team, added that in the first week she already felt integrated in the team and that she felt “from the beginning that they believed in me and in my potential. All this made me feel comfortable. And I was also lucky to arrive in the week of the Arraial do São João (St. John’s Festival) event. It was memorable!”. This first contact, as part of the team, is essential to make the new professional’s experience the best possible.
Unfortunately, with the arrival of Covid-19, many of the actions that were part of this daily routine had to be reviewed and, according to Maurício, a consultant in the company for almost 10 years, “there was a quick response to the needs of the new moment we are living” and of the various measures adopted, the most applauded were “to have supported teleworking since the beginning of this pandemic”, as well as the “continuation of the training offers (online)”, opinion of Inês, also an IT consultant. For Luís, after the adaptation period, PrimeIT managed to “overcome all barriers”, maintaining all the “work and dedication, remotely and safely”. However, staying at home did not mean the loss of the identity of the consultant who challenged their internal team with various activities, as Cláudia tells us, “we made a LipSync, created our playlist at Spotify and of course, we didn’t dispense with the daily online coffee breaks, where we talked about everything, just like in the office breaks”.
With the motto “We take happiness very seriously” always present, and defended with determination by the employees of the 100% Portuguese company, it is very important that this spirit is continuous, regardless of external factors, such as the pandemic that took over our country. Luís, as Prime Academy’s head, says that “we invest a lot in our programmes, in order to present the best solutions, whether partnerships, training, among others. Our Primers can also count on all the dedication of the team and the various departments so that they have the necessary support in due time”. Cláudia, after being questioned on how this motto actually has a positive impact on a Primer’s day-to-day life, answers that “most of our working hours are spent at work and when we feel good in the company where we are, we no longer see the hours passing. Feeling that we are integrated in a company that also cares about our professional evolution as well as personal comfort, and that is aware of the daily difficulties, allows us to be better the following day”.
As soon as possible, PrimeIT will consciously and safely resume all the activities that exalt the company’s organisational culture and that give them the confidence of its employees, as Mauricio mentioned that this “company gives us security and honours our commitments”, among other reasons why the other three interviewees would recommend the technology consultant to a friend.
