Ever since its launch in Portugal more than 15 years ago, PrimeIT stood out from the competition thanks to its innovative attitude towards technology. Nearly 9 years later, the company has expanded its footprint outside of Portugal, opening its first Spanish office in Madrid. The organisation’s founding principles – vision, expertise, commitment, passion, and attitude – remained constant throughout this expansion. 2015 was a new chapter on the history of this information technology consulting company that relied on a committed team to make the business thrive in Spain.

Gonzalo Cabello, Executive Director at PrimeIT Spain (Madrid) witnessed this office’s development from the very beginning and briefly describes it as “thought yet rewarding”. Gonzalo holds a degree in Physics and although his academic background did not pass through IT, he admitted that he is “passionate about technology and how it has made life easier and more entertaining”.

His background in Physics provided him with unique opportunities to approach technology from a different perspective. “Initially, I decided to pursue a career in Physics. This incredible science describes and explains everything that surrounds us. It provided me with a different vision: I started analyzing and questioning everything.”

“My main goal was to pursue a field that would pave the way for a successful professional future. When I graduated, the path obviously led to private corporations and IT. This was an easy and natural transition”.

Leadership: 4 pillars, one mission

With a leadership propelled by commitment, empathy, flexibility and perseverance, the Executive Director admits that failure was never an option. “I have been 100% committed on driving positive impact and helping the company achieve success from day one.”

“Launching the company in Spain was my first mission”, he reveals. Right after the inauguration of the company’s office in the Spanish capital, Gonzalo put together a strategy and an “effective and relevant business model to the Spanish market”.

Barcelona office boosts PrimeIT’s presence in Spain

The “grow and improve everyday” mindset is not exclusive to the Executive Director. This attitude is shared by the whole team in the organisation. The cooperation and teamwork delivered results and made it possible to set up a solid and strong organisation.

Now, that the new office opened its doors in Barcelona, Gonzalo keeps his expectations high and his goals well-defined: “our most immediate purpose is to grow in the new Barcelona office and become a refence in technology consulting at national level. There are no limits to our future.”
